How to link Aadhaar Card to Pan Card? Step by Step Process

Linking your PAN card with Aadhaar card is a simple process that can be done online or offline. Here are the steps:

Online method:

1. Visit the income tax e-filing website at https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/
2. Click on the "Link Aadhaar" option under the "Quick Links" section on the left-hand side of the page.
3. Enter your PAN number, Aadhaar number, and your name as mentioned on your Aadhaar card.
4. Click on the "Submit" button.
5. A message will appear on the screen confirming that your Aadhaar card has been successfully linked with your PAN card.

Offline method:

1. Visit any authorized PAN service center or Aadhaar enrollment center.
2. Fill out the PAN-Aadhaar linking form.
3. Submit the form along with a photocopy of your PAN card and Aadhaar card.
4. The officials will verify your details and the linkage will be done.

It is important to note that the deadline for linking PAN card with Aadhaar card has been extended to 31st March 2023, so you have sufficient time to complete the process. If you don't link within the stipulated time then you have to bear a fine of Rs. 1000, A report said.
